This moment, at least, we are alive, while we cannot be sure we will be alive tomorrow. Having faith that we will be alive tomorrow is a fear based belief. Fear is what fundamentalism Christianity is based on. That's what the Bush-McCain/Republican party is based on. It's not really working for the better currently is it?
Anon- I don't believe having faith is fear based as much as it is believing strongly. Does anyone "know" for sure? Probably not,that's why they call it faith.Personally I don't feel the need to know all, to have a faith. I agree w/ you,Many Repubs may believe the party should have a "fundamentalist" religious basis. I don't.
